I find it easier to do just that, after having made a backup with *all* the boxes ticked. This will ensure that all your data relating to your family is carried across. However, this backup does not include your Legacy settings - colours, fonts etc. i.e. in effect all your Legacy

Be aware that any counties you find are for *current* counties, not historical counties that the city/town were in during the time of the event. That's where USA County Verifier comes in - to let you know if you have the correct county. Also, the Geo Location Database in Legacy will direct you

From within Legacy enter a new location as City, ,State, United States then in the Master Location List find the new location then click on Edit, in the window that pops up click on the button with the binoculars and this will search for that location and if it finds it will have the county
