1. Pictures are not allowed when sources are cited as footnotes, they
are allowed when the sources are at the end of the book or the
chapters/sections (for reports divided into sections by generation for
example). I noticed that the picture options are not always greyed out

As promised I have entered the problem report on the source picture
options being available even though source pictures are not allowed with
sources as footnotes.

Brian, My notes are endnotes -- at the end of the report. But, as you
say, the option is grayed out.
What you say in 1) and 2) seems conflicting however.
Thanks,
Pat

Is the option to combine sources in one paragraph selected? You can't
include pictures if the sources are all in one paragraph.

Or it could have been one of the many documents which were duplicated in
official records but later destroyed in a fire in 1973. My father's
military service papers belong to that group. The only place to see his
official discharge papers are in his files and the photocopies which he gave

John,
There is no conflict between an fdb file on Win7 and XP - I use the same file
on both, but I use Dropbox, which also means that I have the fdb on both
machines.
Error 3049 is an Access error meaning that there is an error in the database,
and this could be caused by using Google Drive. I

Before I left to come to work (about an hour ago) I opened Legacy on my

I will do some more checking this
What is the path to your FDB file on each machine? Do you have a local copy of
the FDB file on each machine, which you periodically refresh from Google drive?
I ask this because I did not think that Google drive was the same kind of

After years of printing event pictures in report I am suddenly having a
problem including them.
In an ancestor report>ReportOptions>Include tab, I have the following

But on the Pictures tab, I can only check Pict
The problem is still shown as outstanding in our reporting system. I
have reminded the programmers about the issue.

Brian,
Thanks for your response.
Is there a way in Word/OpenOffice/Libre to change/enter a command so that
the page numbers are not reset for a new family?
Thanks
:)

There probably is but I do not use those word processors enough to know
how to set the page numbering. Perhaps someone else on the list can
answer your question and tell you how to do it.

Thanks for the info/advice. Having done some further testing I confirm you
are correct in that there is no synchronisation between the files on each
machine and Google Drive.
As a test, I have copied the data files to the drop box folder on each
machine and run Legacy on each. I have add
