I would rename the current file that now has the media unlinked.  Then restore your backup data file only...don't restore the media backup.  Then combine the restored backup file with the renamed current file.  Execute an Intellishare Merge.  Everything should be good once the merge is complete.

Jane, When you open your family file, what name shows at the top of your screen in the windows title bar? It should say "Legacy - [name of family file]". If it says "Legacy Another Format 1-19-14 2014" then that is why all your backups say that. To fix it go to the File tab and click on Rename File
