I would rename the current file that now has the media unlinked. Then restore your backup data file only...don't restore the media backup. Then combine the restored backup file with the renamed current file. Execute an Intellishare Merge. Everything should be good once the merge is complete. Those records without any changes should "automerge". The records you modified will be presented for your decisions. Records that had media removed will show as a difference for you to review. Thank you so much for this tip. Worked like a charm. I am back on top of the situation. Thanks again. There is so much to wade through with that and this is very concise. Even if it were using the format I've seen elsewhere where each question has a 'best answer' that is linked to the original inquiry. I wonder if the Legacy moderators save their answers like this in a separate folder that is easily accessible to them? In any case, I support your suggestion :-) Kathy On Thu, Apr 3, 2014 at 2:49 PM, JV Leavitt <jleavi...@att.net> wrote: This is such an excellent post to answer the question, I wonder if there >are those who would like to see it put into the form of a tip for >including in the help file? > >Joseph Leavitt > > >On 4/3/2014 10:45 AM, Brian/Support wrote: >> No. The file you are now working with has no links to the media in the >> Family File >> To restore the Family File with the links you will need to restore your >> from the most recent backup made before you mistakenly clicked on the >> remove all media links button. >> Use Windows to find your most recent backup (Do you have Legacy add the >> date and time to your backup file names?)
