You missed a setting on the Report Options Include tab. Look in the
left hand column for an option to include lines for Extra blank
children. Convenient if you are sending a report and you are not sure if
you have all the kids identified. The recipient can enter extra kids in
the blank area.
This is a known problem that will be fixed in the next update to Legacy.
I do not know when that will be issued.

Unlink from current parents and relink to new set of parents is the
simple way. Elizabeth's suggestion to do the relink first is a good one.
If only the mother is known, then the relink can be to mother only
through the add mother option on the right click menu.
