I am subscribed to this mailing list, but I have asked questions before and
was told I could not post, and no one has told me why.
Anyway my question is; Do I need to keep all the zip files that get backed
up when I exit Legacy FT?

The answer all depends upon just how comfortable you feel with one, two, six,
or any other number of these backup ZIP files. It seems a common number to keep

I prefer using the Event Clipboard. Not quite as quick as shared events but
a lot more flexible.

I’ve replied to similar questions in the past. I currently "distribute" the
shared events to all participants by taking the GEDCOM exported from Legacy and
modifying it in an Excel spreadsheet using VBA code I prepared. Takes about 20
min to process my 3700-person family tree, with a G

Legacy requires low-level IE functions to run, esp the Legacy Home tab.
That's why it worked after you installed IE.
