Thanks Margaret. That will come in handy, but not for the records I have.
They came from mid 1850s German congregation churches in Chicago. But I'll
surely use your suggestion.

Thank you Jenny. Another problem I have is that the events took place in
Chicago, and all records except some church records (and other possible
private records) were destroyed by the great Chicago fire of 1871, making
it harder to find anything before that time period. This thread could be a

You could search to find your particular Event and then do it from the
Search list which would be quicker than other ways probably.

I have just upgraded to Legacy 9 and am keen to use the Stories field. In
the earlier versions I created an event called "General Notes" with no
formatting and used it to record my narratives - but these were not strictly
events. My question is - is there a simple way to copy/convert these
Marion,
I don't use 2 monitors but I understand the only solution currently is
to use Legacy on the monitor that gets the pop-ups.
I understand this applies to some other programs as well.

have found the problem - I have two monitors and the pop ups are just
sneaking on to the other monitor! Not sure how I can persuade them to move

Thanks for that - my bad!

Which view are you on Marion?
They pop up on Family View and Pedigree View but on Index View,
Descendant View and the Name List there is a pop up saying to click to
see hint results.
Note Hints have been tweaked since the Manual was written.
For latest Help see the Help in the program and
According to the Manual
If you hover your mouse over the icon, a quick summary of the number of
hints and where they were found is shown in a popup tooltip.
Nothing pops up when I hover - I have to actually click on the Hints icon
to see what has been found. Is anyone else having this problem?
