If an event is created without a date, it will sit at the bottom of the
stack. Is there any way to send it to the top of the event stack quickly
(without having to hit the up arrow a bunch of times)?

There is an option under Options -> Customize -> 3. Data Format -> 3.4
Displaying Surnames that allows you to "Show SURNAMES in uppercase
letters", but this option doesn't seem to be used by Legacy Charting.
