I made no request that Legacy change anything regarding the use of all CAPS in anything. They already have the option to display surnames in all CAPS which I use and I'm very happy with the result. I do the same thing myself for COUNTRIES only. The SHOUTING assertion applies to sentences,

Are you saying that by listing residence as a marriage event, you only have to enter it once since the event goes with each person's marriage record? Up to now, I had considered residence as belonging with the individual, so always listed it separately. Jerry Sent from my android device.

I have not noticed any problems in Legacy with my use of question marks. Some of us prefer not to use a bunch of blanks or unknowns, so we include the spouse's name like Sally ? (Wife of John Jones). Again, a matter of personal preference. However, a sheme with codes would never work for
