The _MAR tag produced by Geni.com is probably not included in Legacy's
list of recognised Gedcom tags. Legacy certainly understands the more
common tags of _MARN and _MARNM for married names. When importing the
Gedcom, open the list of unrecognised terms and have Legacy convert
the _MAR tag to an _
I started my fiddling about with my family tree on www.geni.com and
very soon got a really big three thanks to other people doing the
same.
I have however encountered a couple of problems when exporting the
data in Gedcom 5.5 format to Legacy.
