To the best of my knowledge, Ancestry.Com does not re-attach
sources/images. If you export a GEDCOM from your Ancestry.Com tree
and then immediately re-import it into Ancestry.Com (creating a new
tree), all links between sources and images are lost. It's not that

Plus, anything uploaded on Rootsweb is uploaded to Ancestry anyway. I've had
many people contact me based on what they found on my Ancestry tree. I've never
submitted anything directly to Ancestry.
