I've just realized that I have deleted a bunch of notes under one particularly important ancestor. If I restore an old backup file (in order to copy the notes to paste to the new file), will I loose the new updated one? I'm afraid to click the restore button in case I get myself into more

Restore the backup using a different file name. Then do Split Screen to copy/paste notes from the old file to the current one. You can delete the restored file when you're done. It'll still be in the zip backup file. Sincerely, Sherry Technical Support Legacy Family Tree On Mon, Oct 6, 2014 at
