Is this my problem or from the source as I have the problem with MyHeritage
and findmypast. At ancestry there is a second stage to do to stop this from
happening. I do not know whether this is my problem or a universal one.

In family tree in findmypast called " Mt Jerome Cemetery Family Tree to find
? " there are 40 people. In the list of trees I selected this tree and then
selected download in RHS column. Here now it changed to " Download tree File
created 5:10am 2 Jan 2019.
Where am I now SUPPOSED to find

Exactly what do you mean by a GEDCOM file coming as a word document
1. Are these files which you have been sent
2. Are they files that you have downloaded and where from
3. Are they files that you have created
Why do you think that they are word documents? Is the file name .ge

I have a tree within Findmypast and look at how to do a download from there
