This is great! What an innovative use of that option. I like it, thanks.

Sally,
If you want a visual cue in your database in the form of colour you
might consider using the uncertain gender option. In the Individual
information window , next to the Title suffix box there are three radio
buttons , M , F and ?. Even if you know the gender of the individual you
could

That's a good idea to do in addition to using "challenged". I love back

Found it, thanks.
Since asking the question the other researcher got back to me & admitted
that he had no idea why he put that child there or where he got the name
from.
But, I've learned a lot in the asking.
Thanks again,

Correction - The Challenged status is under Relationship to Father and
Relationship to Mother. There is also a Disproved status.

Create your Website with Legacy, see Tutorials at:

That's a good idea, too.
Challenged isn't one of the status options but, as you said, it can be
added. Now, if we could assign a color to these children at the same
time
Thank you for sharing your solution.

When I have a situation like this, I add the child to the possible parents and
make the child's status "challenged". You can change the child's status under
"Children's Settings" (I don't have Legacy open, so I am working from memory).
In the Family tab, right-click on any of the children and ch

Hi Heeren,
You could tag them with a tag you use for people that need more
research. Or you could just create a person and link them to no one,
then you could link them after you find more information.
