Wow, wish they had asked us about the ribbon - that was my least favorite
thing when MS Office implemented it. Takes up too much real estate. Hoping
there is a way to turn it off in Legacy.

To minimize the ribbon during the session click on the arrow just to
the left of the Design button in the upper right corner.
For the setting to be remembered, go to Options Customize General
Settings 1.4

You CAN do something about the Ribbon. There's a little arrow on the
right which minimises the ribbon. Click on the a Ribbon header and
the Ribbon pops up until you've chosen the function you want and then
disappears again.
You can also customise the Quick Access Toolbar top left. You
