Im starting to use AHK to send commands to Leo. So far I create a @command
in the outline, then call it from AHK, using the minibuffer.
But there are beginning to be to many commands, so it would be more
convenient to create a class in Leo and call directly the class functions.

I have moved on and am using Chakra Linux, but installing Leo was pretty
easy.
Install the version of python you want, then install pyqt. Then install git.
mkdir leo
cd leo
https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor.git
I use a script to start leo.

Leo hasn't made it into the Ubuntu and related repositories, mostly
