i have the following questioon:
In chapter 5.3.1 binutils-2.18 - Pass 1 the following is mentioned:
The Binutils documentation recommends building Binutils outside of the
source directory in a dedicated build directory:

When you don't have a floating point coprocessor or built in floating point
support, the processor will throw an exception when a program tries to execute
floating point instructions. The FP emulation code traps those exceptions and
emulates the coprocessor.
