However, whenever I tried to run the last command on this page
if [ -h /dev/shm ]; then
rm -f $LFS/dev/sh
I had the same problem. Try starting chrome from bash by typing
'google-chrome' and a solution will be suggested.
I believe by remaking /dev/shm, the permissions have been changed.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the permission change shouldn't have any
effect on the LFS build (it didn't for me).

i'm new started to be interested in lfs. when i compiling glibc i got error
after "make install" command:

Sorry, you probably have been asked this many times, but I just like this email
approach and this is my first to LFS.
Assume that I'm a noob. Not a complete noob, but a noob.
I know that the linux distro will boot up, many to a fancy shell. Then "startx"
is all I know. Cool! It started... X.
