needs, be they Server or X based. Once you've been through the books a few
times, you should learn enough to start installing things not listed in BLFS.
But BLFS does include enough for most full-blown Desktops, including Gnome or
KDE.

John you need to follow CLFS to get a good build on your x86_64.
Damn, I was hoping to avoid cross-compiling by using a 64-bit host.

-6.0 desktop, but the second box I was hoping could
be a 6.1 version of both.
Sorry for asking such a silly question, but if holding up on the second build
by a few weeks would give me a closer-to-bleeding-edge system, it'd be worth
it to me.
