Actually, I'm not so sure which prog is supposed to be the default
handler for images. I'm now thinking it's Eye Of Gnome. I ran
update-desktop-database and now "Image Viewer" is showing up. I'm
pretty sure I didn't manually add that. It should have been registered
after the install but wasn't
