Hello,
I have installed lilypond 1.6.0-2 on my MAC under OSX 10.1.5. Apparently the
installation succeeded but the following message appears when I try to run
Lylipond. Can you help me?

How did you install lilypond, did you use fink? Did you install
fink's tex package? Did you log out after installing it? You
1.6.2 is installed and, as expected, some of the features that I had
available with previous versions do not work any more.
I would like to do some debugging in this field and the first
problem I come across is how to have multiple versions of
lilypond installed and how to switch among them.

Yes you were both right, it was old fonts causing the problem. I had run
the 'clean-fonts' script a f

I see what you mean: using letter codes instead of weird stems. I'll
give it a try. It's certainly easier to produce with Lilypond (or with
any software, for that matter).
