I'm afraid that 2.6.4 might have been. I have upgraded and patched
autopackage and made 2.6.4.1 and 2.7.14 packages available that should
work better.

Why not take a quick look in the on-line manual for 2.6?
(Of course you can still use lilypond-book with LaTeX, even
though it now typesets the score using an EPS figure for each
score line.)
