Yes, this is a known bug. The 2.9 version is the unstable/development
version; issues like this crop up from time to time. For normal use,
we recommend using the 2.8 versio

First of all, I must congratulate the developers on all the nice
features that have been added to Lilypond since the 1.x days. I've been

Hi, Rick:
the key element is still that an opened book always has "mirrored

Of course.
I suppose if you glue bound the pages on a stiff spine then
you would need more room for the arc created out of the spine.
This is actually what I was talking about: Bringhurst says you need
Sure, but the key element is still that an opened book always has "mirrored

have one of those plastic spine binders that I use to make my fake books
that allow the paper to lay pretty flat when opened. I suppose if you glue

Hi, Rick:
With the wider margin always falling on the binding spine.
Just for the record...
According to essentially every example in Robert Bringhurst's amazing
book, "The Elements of Typographic Style", the internal (spine)
gutter should be smaller than the outside (page edge) margin. [
This would be a great feature, you could either define separate margin
properties for even/odd, or more simply there could be a "mrror page margins
