I browsed the news section of 2.9.x and it struck me like lightning!
This is _so_ easy now! See example.

Thanks Mats and Nicolas !!!
That works perfect... thanx for the tip on \displayMusic... I will be

You're completely right, sorry about forgetting about all musician that
don't use keys ;), it was getting late at the moment I wrote it. But I guess
we agree on the fact that a C is not equally pitched as B#. And as a result
there's a difference between a B# and C chord.
Thanks for correcting me,

Hello, all --
Does anyone recognize this error, or is this a known issue in the
current build:

Hi Henrik,
the problem is to move apart the two consecutive "\time n/m {}" statements,
so that the overrides only affect one set of tuplets.
See two examples below. The first one reports a "warning: ignoring too many
clashing note columns" - but typesetting is optimal IMO, second one compiles

Yes, I do and it looks OK, but I'm almost shure it didn't as I posted the
example first. Anyway,
Hi,
Here's another thing relating to tuplet brackets. Can someone please
help on how to uncollide these brackets of the nested tuplets. I've run
out of options, though I might be overlooking something...
Thanks!

Are you running 2.9.14 and did it look OK then?

What about saying

instead? The `=' is just syntactical sugar and not needed. Does it
work then?
Thanks for reminding me that lilypond-book should support both latex and

One solution is to exploit lilypond-book, i.e. to include a short "score"
that contains only the symbol you want to see. For example, to just include
a single note, you can do
\documentclass[a4paper]{article}
\begin{document}
This is a document with a
\begin[notime,fragment]{lilypond}

I'm afraid you have hit a limitation in the use of #{...#}. My
recommendation
is to change to plan B, which is described in the section on "Building
complicated
functions" in the manual for version 2.9.x.

Actually, that bit about "all instruments are tuned in a mathematical

Think about it ... apart from the open strings, how do you guarantee
that an a# is a b-flat on a violin? Or any other violin-like stringed
instrument, for that matter?
I play the trombone, and I alw

I think it means repeat two 32nd notes 8 times.
Yes, it works the same as all other \repeat commands. Example:
