10.6, without breaking anything on other OSes, but I'm not

I am also trying to run jedit since readinf the recent post. But I get
stuck right off the bat when java startup doesn't like the Xms command
line parameter -- no value seems to do it.
opensuse linux 11.1(64 bit), jrt 1.6. KDE4

On lilypond.org, I can't seem to locate the 2.13.7 doc PDFs (the only
doc format I ever use).
In particular, the Notation Reference and Usage don't have the old
"one big PDF" top-link, and the "Manuals" links (which promises other
formats) appear to be broken.

jEdit 4.3pre17 is needed with the Sun JDK.
What do you mean by "doesn't like"? It displays a "oh, I don't like that
parameter, that's so smelly" message?

I notice you have a case difference there. What happens if you use
either both lowercase or both uppercase trailing M's? Or, what if you
leave them off completely:
Why does lilypond choke on feathered 8:10 notes but handles 4:6 no problem?
The first example works (even the slur works), but the second doesn't.
