I would like to provide a running text translation across the top of each page
of a vocal score I am creating. I assume the easiest way to do this would be
with the \header block, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to specify what
header to place on each page.
If the \header block, is not th

So...erm...how would I go about doing that?

I've committed to making a key for guitar tablature that will show
little snippets of tab along with descriptions. How do I do that? Any
pointers greatly appreciated;) I understand TAB quite well, and vocal
music on lilypond well, as well, but well, don't understand how TAB on

I'm using the pianoforte template with centered dynamics, and I'm concerned
that the staves are too big. Specifically, when there are dynamics in the
staff, the space between the two staves (whatever it's called) is really

2) typically the numbered output you see "Interpreting music... [8]

Dear members,

could have a look to the figured bass alignment defintions? Neil looked at

Dear KKLL00B,
Thanks for your question. This is a question that is best asked on the
lilypond-user list, which is where questions by new *users* are handled.
The frogs list is for new *developers*, that is, for people who are trying
to eliminate bugs from LilyPond.
Anyway, to answer your questi
I would like the ossia staff to be above the main staff, if possible.
The line : alignAboveContext = #"main" in the \with section, means that you
have to call your main staff "main", if you want that the command has an
effect.
That seems to work :
%%
\new Staff = "main" \relative {

I want to have a 3-line staff but use the space in between like I would
for a 5-line staff so that I can write e.g.
{b} on the middle line of 3 lines
