Just to be more clear. In your example, the string "\override Score.SystemStartBar #'collapse-height = #1" does exactly what I'm looking for in my first question in the case with single-staff system bars. But what about the "no-staff" situation in my example? Thanks again. G. -- Forwarded

Hello, Jacques. Thank you very much for your beautiful example, but it is completely different from mine, since I've got the chord chart without any notes/staves. And the requirements to the layout are different. Unfortunately, this doesn't help me to solve my problem with bar lines and bar widths
