Im transcripting a piece with a repeat. In the lower
staff there is a group of notes that only is played in the 2nd time.
Above those notes I want to have the vertical repeat line. I managed to do that
as follows:

I try to engrave a contemporary piece with LilyPond. This piece has a key
with a c-sharp, f-sharp and a b-sharp in this order. I've tried to
manipulate the key with the following command:

Thank you for your response. It helped me to get further using the --verbose
command. I have something extremely odd now. The first time I run lilypond I
get the following error.
Error invoking `ps2pdf -sPAPERSIZE=a4 test.ps'.
Indeed, no .ps file is created. Now I run manually dvips

Are you sure that you didn't see any error message from dvips the first
time you ran lilypond with --verbose?
If you make a change to your .ly file, do the .ps and .pdf files change
or are they still left
of the references in the ec-mftrace.map? Anyway, at the moment I just
erase the file and everything works.

Ive just installed LilyPond 2.4.1 from pre-compiled binaries using rpm.
When running lilypond I get the following error. After execution no .ps file
is created. There is a .dvi file which I can see with a dvi viewer under
windows. The bars are shown. (The notes are not but under windows I
