Hi LilyPond Gurus, This is probably a very trivial question. As you might know, I am working on a Sibelius to LilyPond translator. LilyPond has a staccatissimo articulation -| which on paper looks like a little wedge with a rounded top. Sibelius has two similar-looking articulations, called "wedge

Hi LilyPond Gurus, I cannot quite find figure out from the manual which is a better practice when typesetting transposing instruments (say, a B\flat clarinet): 1) Specifying \transposition bes { ... } and then writing out the transposed part. Or 2) Using \transpose bes, c {\transposition bes ...}
