I just left a message with the Cat Connection in Waltham. They have a
trap-neuter-release program, so they might be able to help.

Dawn Collins, a Wildlife Rehabilitator in western MA who specializes in

Dawn identified this cat as not a bobcat, but a Serval cat. They are
illegal in Massachusetts, as a few of you have surmised.

It looks like it is illegal for a household to possess this cat in
Massachusetts:
"According to Ms. Arnold, servals are among the most popular wild cats and
that a cross breed of a serval, called a savannah, is also illegal to
possess in Massachusetts except by zoos and educational institutions."
Today’s update:
Our pal has returned for some chicken breast and hydration. I’ve left a
garage bay door open so hopefully he’ll be warmer.
If anyone has any ideas, please privately message me.
