We have a Generac whole house backup generator. It was provided and installed
by Cason’s Equipment in Lowell. Not cheap but reliable…what you want in a
generator!
Highly recommend Cason’s AND Generac.
Both are quality throughout.

There's also an Eversource app that is helpful for reporting outages and
checking on status of outages, but I have so little cell reception at home
that I have a hard time using it when the power is out...

Yes, outages on Conant and neighborhood (Browns Wood).
Be sure and report your outage to Eversource.
Repairs can take a while, esp. if they do not hear that is it area-wide
