hello steve,
thanks very much for your reply to my post about detecting acrobat reader.
the thing is this: we're only using the pdf's as a way for teachers to print
out the contents of the cd we're doing. within the cd the content is

Hai,
I have a doubt...
To find out the selected cast members in a given cast we are using , the
"selection" function.
some thing like this :
- -"put the selection of castLib 1". - -
when we use this, it gives us a list. suppose, the number of selection is not

Thanks. I've used V-12 many times before and like it alot. This project is

Hey John,
In my opinion, go with V12.
It is very simple to use, fully cross-platform and no installation
required since it is an Xtra. You can import different already existing
databases into V12 databases and even export a V12 database.
Integration New Media also offers a Free Tool name
I think You can base on the "Custom scrollbar" to develop
your idear. Cause of 4 castmembers you could creat yourself.
You think about that?

Anyone ever use EasyDatabase?
Is it any good?
Should I get rid of it and use V-12?
Any and ALL comments would be appreciated it. I have to decide if I want to
take on a complex job using it or replace it.
Thanks in advance,
John

Hi, Is there an easy way to have an alert box appear if user rolls over
2 different sprites on stage which then reveal a matching image. -a very
small matching type game.
that is, there is about 6 rollovers and 2 of them have matching images
when rolled over. so these could be rolled over at any
the lists run by figleaf software would probably be a good start. i'd try
flashnewbie and if they couldn't answer it try flashcoders...

yes I tried putting the sound in the film loop, but the problem was that
the sound was too long. but i have found a solution.
which is to put charaacter in film loop, and put the play sound
behaviour on this sprite, so the sound plays until it's done. then I

I have a flash script I am working on for my director movie.
What is a good flash forum I could sign up to?
Thank you,

Hello Heike,
Why not try using the PDF Xtra? You can very easily open PDF Documents from a
URL and actually display them onto your stage instead of a seperate browser. Using the
already created behaviours, the process becomes even easier. There is also a global
method called PDF_Acroba
Is the AVI acting as a sprite? If not, then it's going direct-to-window
and bypassing all of Director's imaging layers. Remember, even once a
video itself is processed, it then needs to be composited with other layers
in order to be a sprite (so other sprites can be on top, etc).

I am using a projector which internally calls my DXR files.
If I am navigating fastly from slide to slide after some random

Can we clear screen buffer
hello
yes it's a lot of work, but I wonder why it is possible to increase an
AVI-Movie in the same project to much bigger sizes without
performance-problems then a VideoSprite?
thanks
