Sigh... My ISP accepted to run SMUS 3.0, but when they realized it takes 98% processor on a Windows 2000, PIII 1GHz they removed it. This is with NO traffic at all - just running the server. It seems odd. When I run it on a Mac on my LAN it doesn't affect the performance of the computer at

I am trying to upgrade a quicktime vr tour that was originally done in Quicktime 2 and Director 6 to Quicktime 6 and Director 8.5. It seems to work on the Mac but on the PC version, all the nodes keep coming up as 0 in Director.I can't get the hotspot ID's and the only thing that comes up is

Thanks for chicking this Neil, The ISP stated that administering the server got considerably slower after starting the SMUS. I'm not sure, but I _think_ they mean administering via a www/ browser interface. I still sounds fishy though. -A. I just tried it out on my own system and it does

I have had the MUS running on my own system for a couple of days at a time with no noticeable decrease in performance of the rest of my apps running. Typical apps running _while_ the MUS is on. 2-3 Versions of Director Flash IE Netscape Fireworks Photoshop 3ds Max Eudora Lots of File Windows.

Thanks tons -- I guess I'll have to figure out a different way I think -- there could be up to 50 different sprites under the covers waiting for mouse direction. I could cycle through them to see if the clickloc intersects w/ their rectangles, but that seems rather intensive? dunno maybe not

Ah - see, I don't want a mouse event in this sprite -- i just want it automatically passed to a lower channel sprite that has a mouse event (like it would if i attached a similar sprite by dragging on the stage or score). If, in authoring, you have in sprite 1 a box w/ a mouse Enter handle

I think I recall reading in the Windows 2000 Online Help about the Ctrl-Alt-Del combination being recognised only by Windows. Which is why WinNT/2K workstations ask users to press that combo before showing the log on dialog box. I think it has something to do with preventing keytrapper programs
