hi there lee, i just had problems with embedded fonts on several different windows machines where the user was logged in without any installation/admin rights. if you haven't already maybe take a quick look at this before you change everything to embedded fonts:

hiya all, it sounds like you might have a linked sound cast member laying around that worked on win because the sound file is still where you left it. i just checked. all my sound cast members are linked= FALSE it shouldn't have a significant effect except that Director's sound compression
