MIAW and Shockwave don't mix.. I believe the usual line is that it would be
a security risk to be able to open a MIAW in Shockwave. Therefore they are
disabled. Having said that, there are a few things that you can do to
imitate them but it all depends on how close to the edge you want

MIAW's do not work in SW. it is quite a limitation. you can use Linked
Director Movies, but they are not

No, sorry, it can't.
I've gotten a similar effect, though, by mocking up a window with sprites.
It hangs around offstage until I whistle, then it comes running to the
coordinates I give it.
You could do it with imaging Lingo, too--composite in an off-sc
