Mailman is really good software, and with the end of the long Majordomo era, the standard FOSS mailing list app. It has a classically simple functional interface that lets you do almost anything you want to with a mailing list. And of course by now it is solid as... as... as some kind of rock

Try starting the document in .doc format from the beginning, always using version 97/2000/XP/2003 since that is most compatible. You can set this permanently in the options. We have found this solves many of the translation issues, and results in a great impression on users, instead of frustrati
