It is in SLES10...
I assume, once the change is identified, it could be applied to SLES9.

Hi,
Considering the following scenario possible.
One our CEC we have 3 z/os lpars and an IFL running z/VM 5.3. On the
z/VM we have a few SUSE Linux quests as well as TCPIP and MPROUTE
guests. On all three z/OS lpars and the TCPIP guest I have a hipersocket
device, IUTIQDFF, defined in the profil
We found the problem. The file did not completely transfer from
my PC to VM. Dave Jones was kind enough to send me the record count from
his file and that clearly showed that I was missing several meg. I
re-transfered it and then it unpacked with no problem.
I have no idea why VMARC would act l

Martha, I have gotten the SLES 10 SP1 starter system to successfully
install here (z/VM 5.3, running on a significantly smaller system than
your z9). Here, the NOV151 VMARC file is exactly 2,213,447,520 bytes in
size; 27668094 80 byte records.
I did have a bit of trouble uploading the NOV151 VMAR
Has anyone on the list tried installing the SLES10 SP1 starter system?
I'm trying it for the first time and its going OK except for one problem.
The 151 disk image, NOV151 VMARC, won't unpack. It churned all yesterday
afternoon on our z/9 and never finished. So, I moved it over to our
development
