We have the Multiprise 3000-H30 machine running Suse Linux. I upgraded the
kernel version to 2.4.7. When I install the lcs driver for ethernet support,
it throws an error saying invalid parameters.. I gave the command "insmod
lcs noauto=1 devno_portno_pairs=0x0e20,1" from /lib/modules/2.4.7/n

I upgraded my Suse Linux to kernel 2.4.7 and finally when I ran the silo
command, Iam getting the following error message:
silo.c (line:439) 'ioctl (devfd, BIODASDRWTB, &blk)' returned
25='Inappropriate ioctl for device'

Hi Davis..
For devices other than the root device, You can edit the parmfile and
re-run the silo command. You can't do this for root device as the device
that you are adding is not bootable.
