Hi All,
Dumb question on grep, I'm trying to find if a file exists and the path
to it. ls -laR | grep y shows me the y file exists, is there a way
to show the path to the file also.
Thanks in advance,
Scott
Hi John,
Thanks for the response and you're right that it doesn't work (I tried
it yesterday). It seems to carry the read only down through the whole DIR
path. I decided to create two new DIR's on the CVS server and mounted them
read write on the s390 image /opt/WebSphere/. DIRs.
Hi All,
I had a request from our Applications group that they needed read only
access to the Websphere files on one s390 image from a server (CVS). I
created a new mount point and NFS mounted read only /opt/WebSphere between
the two no problem. Now Applications needs to be able to update one
Hi All,
Don't mean to interrupt, but could someone please point me to some
documentation on creating a log host. This sounds like something I'd
like to try.
Thanks in advance,

Hi All,
I've just installed UDB on a SLES 7 s390 image (compat.rpm installed
first). I'm trying to put Fixpack 7 on also and am getting the following
errors:

Hi,
I was trying to use the hosts.allow /.deny to limit who can access our
S390 SLES-7 guests. The man page says first that .allow is searched, then
.deny and then falls through and is allowed by default. I'm trying to do a
NFS mount and getting this:

Lionel,
We ran into the same thing. If you edit the snmpd script in /etc/init.d
and change the line that reads:
snmpd -a -d -V $DEBUGFLAG
to:
snmpd $DEBUGFLAG
then snmpd's log seems to stay at a polite 23 bytes and it doesn't seem to
affect snmp's performance. At least the monitor from
Hi All,
I just finished rebuilding a nfs server with SLES 7.2 and used the
reiser file system. Before I had started I had copied all the dirs I
wanted to save to a server running SuSE 7.1 P that was using the ext2 file
system. When I checked the various dirs against each other prior to
Hi All,
I just finished installing my third SLES 7.0 for S390 guest. After yast
completes and returns me back to my telnet session I exit the telnet
session. I then did a shutdown -h now on the installation system. I've
tried an IPL 150 CLEAR at this point and a #CP logoff and another
Hi all,
I was reading about Simple WATCHdog (SWATCH) and was wondering if it was
included with SLES 7.0 for s390. I looked through the rpm files and don't
see anything that looks like it might be it. Does anyone know if it's
included with SLES 7.0 for s390 or if not where I can get a copy
