Hi All, Does anyone know how SLES11 SP2 zLinux servers with WAS8-iHS support TLS 1.2. One problem I see is that openSSL on SLES is 0.9.8 which does NOT support TLS1.2. I don't know how WAS8 will support it though. We are on Z196, thanks. Sagar This email is intended for th

Good afternoon all, We run Nessus security scans on our zLINUX images - SLES11 SP1 and SP2. Our security team found that we have Firefox old version (MozillaFirefox-10.0.2-0.4.1) installed with critical security vulnerabilities. I didn't install Firefox but even on the minimum install, it gets

I do the same with 5 seconds and run the I still have outages once in a while.( I use device names by path -like /dev/disk/by-path/ccw-0.0.0500-part1) Dasd_configure on my SLES11 SP1(with latest patches) is still buggy. Hope SP2 solves it but it comes with its own issues- kernel 3.0 Sagar ---

Rich, Since you are using PERL, I would recommend you use PERL modules like Net::SFTP::Foreign and use the API to code. The benefits would be: 1) API calls- less troubleshooting will be involved 2) supports most SFTP functions including key authentication 3) less library dependencies- thus easy

We implemented latest patches on our SLES11 SP1 systems recently Now all the zLINUX guest are using almost 8 - 10 IFL mips extra per Guest - that is increasing our load on the z/VM LPARs by 300 mips . Unfortunately this is not so visible from the guest level and hence difficult to find t

I would recommend setting up an SMT (Subscription Management tool) server. This is a LAMP based setup which will download all the repositories from Novell subscription and all the zLinux images can use this as patch server. Sagar -Original Message- From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:LINU
