Our company is looking at obtaining servers for a new central SAS
environment (replacing aging and scattered older servers).
Can SAS run under linux on the mainframe and if so does it perform well?
Our local SAS rep says there is no SAS product for linux/390 but I had
thought some people are in fac
There was a post last July where a development version of SAS V9 for
Linux for zSeries was being used.
There doesn't seem to be anything much newer that is relevant.

If SAS thinks there is not a market on Linux, guess they are in for a real
shocker
As for SAS going up in price on M/F's?? well that is why so many shops are
looking at Linux or just dumping the product's..re-evaluating it's REAL
worth..and what alternatives there are out there...
