THE is one of the packages in the Chicory collection so I build it as a
matter of course. I've got a 31-bit build (which will almost certainly work
on 64-bit) and can probably get a 64-bit build done.

I have built THE from source many times. You are welcome to my
pre-built binaries. They were built with relocation similar to how
AIX organizes packages and will not collide with vendor or distributor
package management.

The latest release of THE is 3.3. The latest release of Regina is 3.5.
As it happens, I built Regina and THE for NORD Linux. These are
ready-to-run, not in RPM nor Deb format. They are package hierarchies

I think that might be a felony in most states. ;-)
According to the notes the important differences from ISPF are:
The biggest area of conflict/confusion is prefix commands
- 'A' in THE is add a line following this one
- 'A' in ISPF is a target for moving or copying lines
(move/copy the lines
)
