I am in the process of setting up the install tree as per Mike's shell
(thanks Mike) but had a small snag in that the SP3 ISO's where not been
picked up , the script needs to be updated with the done in line 70
moved to line 82.

The IBM website simply links to Novell's website. IBM is not distributing

In your mksles9root.sh for SP3, is there a mixup ?
Your script lines (see the echo's below) say 3 SP3's will be built into
tree sp1root
And 2 SP1's will be built in tree sp3root.
Should it be SP3's in tree sp3root, and SP1's in tree sp1root?

Yes, you are correct. Good catch.
I haven't checked where they actually are put; not up on
shell scripting.
It's a typo in the help, but not in the name of the tree that actually
gets built.

Comments on the creation of the SLES9 SP3 install tree.
1.The downloads from the Novell site had the CD's for 31 bit and the 64
bit reversed.
2.The script mksles9root.sh downloaded from linuxvm.org/Patches/S390

Whoops, I replied too fast.
Actually it was changed in the other direction. There was a report that
the *GM* file names were correct. I guess RC4a == the golden master, so
it should not matter.

The script still reads SLES-9-SP-3-s390x-GM-CDn today.
The downloads were down yesterday from
http://download.novell.com/protected/. The names of the downloaded files
all started with SLES-9-SP-3-s390x-RC4a-CDn.
Thus, had to modify
on mksles9root.sh for SP3
