Thanks for the follups Toomas and Thomas. If we need to fix this with

Hi,
I was wondering what the best would be to move the extra basefiles out
of the config space.
We have put our config space in a subversion repository. We have also
put some basefiles into it. This gives us two 'problems':
*) checkout of the config space takes some time because of these
Hi list,
Hi Martin
When installing mdadm with FAI mdadm gets a wrong config file.
During the installation of mdadm mkconf (which configures mdadm) is called.
mkconf uses the DEVICE variable. During the fai install the DEVICE
variable is set!
Where does FAI set that variable? (Is it even

Hi list,
I'm trying (and partly succeeded) in getting FAI (3.3.3+experimental9)
running on lenny to install squeeze.
I've done such constructions before, using sarge nfsroot to install etch
and lenny, mixing 32 and 64 bit. And so on ;)
I set out to do the same exercise again for squeeze.
things that would help
debugging the proble if Michael needs some more info or has an idea
what to try.
Sure, just let me know and I'll fire up a fai installation like I used
to in that case.

partitioning inside dom-U.
I don't understand why this worked with my old fai
(setup_harddisks). And with setup-storage it doesn't.
I used this FAI setup, but configured it to use the old syntax of
setup_harddisks. Now it works
by force.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm having some trouble adjusting setup_harddisks to do what I want.
I want to partition a hard disk with 56 tracks and 256 heads and that
each partition starts on a cylinder that is a multiple of 8.
I have found that I can the sfdisk variable in my class.var to get the
track and head
steps to run it.
Nice to see this is being worked on. However I didn't see any
possibility to add a disk label. Or did I miss that?
