Aha! After changing the permissions on our plugin to 0755 it showed up in the
GUI. Thank you for your help.
Is there documentation or a plugin BKM where I should have been able to figure
this out for myself?

Yes. IPaddr2 uses iproute2's "ip" command instead of the (long
deprecated) ifconfig. It does not create virtual interfaces at all.

That's the way IPaddr work. AFAIK, can't be prevented.
