use certain unusual keys in the manner you would expect. Any chance of
that in the USB arena? I'm just grasping at straws here, but I suppose
it's possible.

OH
tirely.
This is, of course, just wild speculation at the moment. I actually have
no idea if I am on the right path or going the wrong way down a one way
street. I can assume then that if you see me running back this way fast
as I can go, the one way street has it.. ;)
Thanks for the refere
n more than one machine, no luck
even with showkey. MacOS likes the keys just fine, naturally.

I don't know for sure if that's why Alan hasn't applied the new driver,
but it was an issue that would have broken the patch he was given which is
supposed to be fixed now. I'm thinking Rui has gotten busy in the

power must be cut to the main supply for a few seconds first. Thankfully
my PSU has a real switch.

I sat laughing snidely into my notebook until they showed me a PC running
Linux. And oh! It was as though the
is to avoid accelleration for now.
Since you have an AMD chipset, it appears the problem is not limited to
VIA. That's too bad, I was considering upgrading to an AMD board to get
around this problem (and several others too..)

Ah, thanks Alan. I may need to consider the AMD boards seriously if I
can't get the Radeon 64 working on the KT7A in the next few weeks. I'm
hoping -ac7 will fix that.

I'm considering it, but for AGP weirdness reasons. Have the USB bugs been
worked o

things to try on dri-devel - thanks guys!) I'll post to that list what
fixed it since I know I am not the only person seeing this kind of
problem. I think some of the guys are looking into improving the docs a
bit, so maybe if I find it soon the problem and workaround
it KT7A) and don't experience anything resembling
disk corruption unless the box crashes for some other reason. I do seem
to be experiencing AGP problems in spades, but my disks at least are fine.

ce suggests you
consider agcc in the same class as gcc 3.0 at the moment - experimental.
Hopefully the k7 optimizations that work well will find their way into a
nice athlon subarch options in standard gcc and agcc won't be necessary.

Given some of the recent threads, the interactive discussions might
need to be conducted on
with a module parameter.
That sounds like a good idea actually, under kernel hacking perhaps? It
seems to me that the messages do indicate some kind of non-fatal problem
(that may not be true?) but I agree it is murderous to /var on a small
system. Given that I now consider a small system one with a
other key fixes the keyboard and my old
fashioned USB ball mouse ;) works fine.

I've seen similar suggestions for people with AMD-based syst
h updated the natsemi driver. I have a '311 in a P200
which worked fine before. This is an AMD box, but I suspect the problem
was the '312, not the AMD.

Thank you, I don't believe there is anyone on this list who is likely to

This doesn't follow in my mind. I can't think of a case where a { ... }

also save a few keystrokes.
