Hi to all,
I've a usb hybrid tuner which does not work with the main v4l driver.
I've found a way to use it modifying some lines in the em28xx-dvb.c and
em28xx-cards.c files (thanks to Dainius Ridzevicius).
Can someone explain me how to create a diff between the main v4l
driver and the patched
Hi Devin,
I've tested my Empire Dual TV.
These are the results:
1) it is recognized as a different card (as you can see from the dmesg
2) it works perfectly in digital mode (even if itdetects less channel
than the Dikom DK-300 (aka Kworld 323U?). It scans and tune channels and
they can be seen
Hi Devin,
let me know if you need a tester for the EMPIRE_DUAL_TV.
In case I will install the latest v4l driver on my old notebook which
has a clean kubuntu 9.04 distro. On the newer notebook I'm using my new
Dikom DK-300 device which does not work with the latest v4l drivers and
which I can
Hi Dainius,
I'm using the modified driver as you suggested but I can't see analog tv
because the system has a kernel loop when I try to tune the analog
channels.
Does your card have an analog tuner too?
Do you have a v4l branch or do you know if someone has included your
modification in thr main
The rapidshare link is no more accessible.
Do you want me to put that file online again?

Hi to all,
I would like to know if the usbsnoop I have done under windows xp is ok

Should I open it also in digital tv mode?).

Hi to all!
As you probably know from my previous mails, I own two usb hybrid devices:
1) Empire Dual Pen
2) Dikom DK-300
There are still some problems with them (which I hope I can help solving
with my testing) and I would like to know if I can use one of them and
then the other without the
I forgot to send the dmesg I have had using the latest kernel
(dmesg_dikom-dk300.txt) and the Dainius modified one
(dmesg_dikom-dk300-mod.txt).

I hope it is useful to:
1) understand if the dikom DK-300 is really a rebranded kworld 323u
2)resolve the analog tv issues (kernel panic while scanning channels and

When you want we can check the audio issue.
Consider that actually I've installed the latest main v4l-dvb (to test
if all the patches have been ported to themain tree) and it's ok.
However I have no problem to install your tree driver again to test

Hi,
my brother has brought a Dikom DK-300 usb hybrid tv receiver.
He will use it under windows, but I've tried it with the latest v4l-dvb
driver and I've discovered that it works well as analog tv (video and
audio work using the sox command to send audio from /dev/dsp1 to /dev/dsp).
The digital
Ok,
I've made the change and now the digital tv works perfectly.
So now I should test the analog tv, but I fear to have another kernel panic.
Is there something I can do before testing so that to be sure that at
least all the file system are in a safety condition even if a kernel
panic happens.
