I m facing problem in autodetection of my RAID 5 Array.
I have followed all the mentioned steps but it didnt seem to work fine woth me.
have 2.2.7 kernel with raid0145-19990421-2.2.6 patch.
using raidtools-19990421-0.90.
Autodetection support is in kernel
RAID devices are created using persis
alpha to the linux community != alpha to closed source community.
redhat made a smart move, given all the probs we have telling people to
upgrade their 5.2 installation.
recent announcements from mingo have informed us not to use the alpha raid
patches on the newer kernels just yet. 2.2.6 or 2.2

Maybe that raid1 stripes the reads; I am not so familiar with raid1,
because most
time we use raid0 and raid5 (also I am not sure, if raid5 does not
stripe reads).
I think, I have read about raid1 striping its reads, but - as I said - I
am not
sure.
