Are there known effects of running SW RAID along with VMWare?
I am regularly using VMware and my whole filesystem (except /boot) is on a SW
RAID 5 array. Kernel 2.2.13, RAID 0.90 of 19990824.
No problems so far.

Is this still the case, im having trouble even booting with my bp6 dual
celery with SMP and raid v0.9 and kernel 2.2.14 with mingo's patch and
the ide patch.

drive heavily (like cat /dev/zero somefile) my system virtually freezes
up. This includes mouse, keyboard, everything. Eventually it comes back when
