The RedHat rawhide server (6.0 development) doesn't seem to carry a
raidtools RPM...

When I apply raid0145-19990108-2.2.0-pre5 to a vanilla linux-2.2.0-pre8
tree, the patch works with just one error message
patching file `linux/fs/buffer.c'
Hunk #5 succeeded at 631 (offset -12 lines).
Hunk #7 succeeded at 665 (offset -12 lines).
Hunk #9 FAILED at 923.
But I get immediate errors

I've set up a 2.2.0pre8 system (with raid in the kernel) and built and
installed raidtools-0.90. When I run mkraid, I get the follow
results. (I've tried this for raid-1 and raid-5 devices, too.)
[root@tekelili]# mkraid /dev/md0

I've got a question about software RAID 1.
If I run RAID 1 on two drives and put ext2 partitions on the resulting
RAID device, will there be an ordinary ext2 partitions on the
individual drives? ie, if I shut the machine down and take the drives
out, would they contain ordinary mountable ext2 pa
I'm after a raid controller for a new server (we're moving from Digital
Unix to Linux, yay!) and our supplier offers the Adaptec AAA-131SA...
Does anyone know if there is software to drive this under Linux? (I
want to do RAID-5.)
